3/31/09 GOOD news about pistachios in Marilyn’s Nut Butters!
The possible salmonella contamination announced on March 30th involves only CONVENTIONALLY GROWN pistachios from Setton Farms, who DOES NOT SUPPLY OUR NUTS. The grower of our ORGANIC pistachios has had recent batches of nuts test negative for salmonella, and he is awaiting the results of testing on the most recent batch, submitted on March 26th.
I will post updates as I learn new information, but I do not expect any negative news about the pistachios in Marilyn’s Pistachio Hazelnut Butter with Cumin and Black Pepper. Feel free to email marilyn@marilynsnutbutters.com with any concerns.
